Breosha “Bre” Coleman is a U.S. Army veteran, human resources professional, author, and devoted mother who brings a people-centered, reflective perspective to the work of I Am Light Legacy, Inc. Her journey is rooted in service, resilience, and a deep belief in the power of voice and connection.
Service, Leadership, and Human Resources
Originally from Alabama, Bre served nearly a decade in the United States Army as a Human Resources Officer, supporting soldiers and leaders through personnel management, advocacy, and organizational support. Stationed in Virginia during her military service, she chose to remain there after transitioning from the Army, continuing her career in human resources and community-focused work.
Bre holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Norwich University and a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management, with both her academic and professional experience centered on people, support systems, and organizational well-being.
Author, Storyteller, and Advocate
As an author, Bre uses storytelling as a tool for awareness, healing, and dialogue. Her writing explores emotional complexity, personal resilience, and the ripple effects of human connection. Through honest reflection and courageous storytelling, she seeks to encourage empathy, spark meaningful conversations, and create space for understanding difficult realities.
Her commitment to storytelling aligns closely with I Am Light Legacy’s mission to amplify voices, raise awareness, and support individuals impacted by trauma, injustice, and harm.

Bre lives in Virginia with her daughter and remains actively engaged in initiatives that promote safety, education, and empowerment within communities. She brings to the organization a thoughtful blend of professional expertise, lived experience, and creative expression—helping ensure that advocacy is not only informed, but deeply human.
